Description	Report on Logan River water rights prepared by A. G. Barber and George L. Swendson, Special Committee for Canal Companies. Provides some history of water rights, claims, and appropriations for both irrigation and power uses of Logan River water from 1896 to 1901 for canals in the Logan Irrigation District, including the following canals: Logan and Hyde Park; Logan and Benson; Logan and Richmond; Logan, Hyde Park and Smithfield; Fullmer Irrigation Company; Providence; South West Field; Logan Island; Logan Hollow; and Thomas Smart Jr. Ditch. Eight tables of data include area irrigated, max. discharge, mean discharge, min. duty acres, mean depth on land, average duty in acres. Table V lists the monthly maximum, minimum and mean discharges of the Logan River as measured by the U.S. Geological Survey from 1896 - 1902. Report recommends that in order to properly distribute the water, a measuring station needs to be established "preferably above all the canals" and similar stations placed at the head of each canal. These stations combined with a table of the claims and priorities applicable at various stages of the river should be placed under the supervision of a "careful water commissioner." Report consists of 31 loose single sided pages, each punched with two holes at the top, all housed inside four-flap archival enclosure.
