Description	Chapter 30 from the Family pocket-book and compleat family cook written by Sarah Harrison and published in 1748 (4th ed.) is entitled: Physical receipts: or Directions for preparing all Sorts of Medicines, both for external and internal application. Encompassing pages 230-267, this chapter offers prescriptions and home medicine recipes using such common ingredients as hen's eggs, snails, and earth-worms (well washed, of course).
