Description	Lincoln Ellison's journal and field notes written while spending the Fall and Winter of 1932 working for the Forest Service at Missoula, Montana. It includes sketches, graphs, observations, news clippings, and descriptions of his daily activities as well as different plants and animals that interested him. Also contains thoughts on, and quotations from books and academic artcles he's reading at the time, some of his own poetry and short stories are included.
