Description	Lincoln Ellison's journal and field notes written while spending the summers of 1928 and 1929 working for the Forest Service at the Priest River Experiment Station in Idaho and the Jornada Range Reserve in New Mexico respectively, however, most entries are for Idaho. It includes sketches, graphs, observations, and descriptions of different plants, animals, and astronomy that interested him. Also contains thoughts on and quotations from books and academic articles he's reading at the time, some of his own poetry and short stories, a time line for his schooling and professional development, and a short list of his expenditures.; Handwritten on p. 2 of cover: Lincoln Ellison, 623 Camino Real Ave. Arcadia, Calif.;
