I do not "believe there was ever a time when the American People
were confronted with a more serious political issue than that which Confronts

us today, and if I do nothing more in tnis campaign than ipress the. voters
of Utah that this condition is serious, I mill feel well repaid for my efforts.
During the past three months I have traveled into almost every section
of Utah and. have done everything within my povser to sh w the people that they
are not getting the kind of government that they are entitled to, that it is
up us to demand that we oetter represented and that the only way we can do this
is to cast our vote in such a mnner that no politician will misunderstand its
meaning. I know and I feel sure that a great majoirty of our peopleTfPFjgardless
f their political belief, that this government of ours is not being run for
W^m^ter^^^^^^mii^m^^e, hat is overrun with politicians who have only one
fchaught in mind and that is to get theirs regardless of the welfare of
pa®p^«>. This condition has not only been bad for years, but has developed to a
far greater degree during the war period, when we should have thrown all
politics out the window and entered into a complete united effort to win the
war,

As you no doubt know I am a ca.tdid.ate for Congress fron the first
Utah congressional district and as such, am ruming upon the republican ticket,
but I futtlljuLljil'-Ay call upon every American and every Utah voter in particular
to support me in the interests of Government that will truly represent the
people rather fan any political faction or group. I ^^^E^B^^^^asmtt ^American

the member of a political party second. I say this because I want you to know

that is for the welfare of this country and its people and. for any issue that
