( ( V Minutes of Council Meeting held in the City Hall January 3, 1928. Those present were Mayor H. J. Richards, * and Councilman Edgar Handook;-, Jens Jensen, fferald Walker, Earl Bird, and Claud Sorensen. Committees were appointed as followsi Water works and street lighting, Gerald Walker and Edgar XTancock. Health Board, Earl Bird, and Claud Sorensen. Roads, Jens.,Jensen. Wayne Willie was appointed City Recorder. A. W. Richards as City Marshall was instructed to collect dog tax, and 1928 license from the two stores. Anderson's store $30.00. Stauffer's store #20.00. Motion was made that city council meeting be held on the first Wednesday night of every month. City Marshall was held over for one more month, until next meeting. Council agreed to adjourn. Minutes of Council Meeting held February 1st, 1923, in the City Hall. Mayor H, J. Richards took charge of business. Members of Council present were: Jens Jensen, Edgar Hancock, Gerald Walker, Claud Sorensen, and Earl Bird. Talk of ceraetary work, and whether City will pay sexton for digging graves where people cannot pay for digging. Motion was made and seconded .and approved that Elmer Heninger be appointed as City Sexton. Jens Jensen was appointed -fro worfc as a committee of one with the sexton. Bills for approval were as follows: Road Bills: To Wm. Buist 32.00. A. W. Richards |2.00 Budge Clinic for services, $5*00. Approval was made to pay Dave Buist 550.00 for the second paymen t of' gravel lease. To Elmer Maughan, County Treasurer for collection of taxes $6.39, Recorder to send a written statement to the people who used fumigators during smallpox epedimic for the price of same. Motioned and seconded and approved to transfer $500.00 from checking account to sinking fund. It was motioned and seconded and approved that "Denver Copen be appointed as City Marshall to fix bonds immediately. A. W. Richards to be held until the ISfrh of February, provided Copen qualifies at that date. Council agreed to adjourn.
