              20143 my dear robert june 22.69 i was very glad to hear so full an account of your movements as that contained in the letter of june 14 just received and to know that you were doing well in collecting the capture of helminthophaga virginiae is a very important one and i hope you will get as many specimens as you can of this as of other rare birds it will be strange if you dont find a new species or two this summer i hope you will have a chance among the pines, and meet with nests of some of the jays so many of which are wanting in our collection gather up a large number of these pipilos so that we may settle all questions concerning them. suffer you send in by mail the brightest specimen of helminthophaga virginiae to be figured mr turnbull of phila. who suceeded mr cassin in the lithographing business want to do a specimen plate of bird for the phila academy proceedings and will i know prefer a warbler of which group he is especially fond i see you are at your old tricks
