State Self-Help Cooperative Board General Data;

Members of the State Self-Help Board:
The Liquidating Committee of the State Self-Help Board, under
date of September 14, 1940, submitted a report covering consideration
of several units with recommendations pertaining to those units and a
summary which listed 22 units with recommendations that the accounts
be cancelled, 8 units referred to the Committee on active units, and
36 units referred to the Director for further information. That report
was submitted to the State Self-Help Board and was adopted and confirmed.
A meeting of the Liquidating Committee held December 7th determined upon a few additional units and it was decided that Mr. Stringham,
because of his knowledge of the activities of the units particularly in
the beginning of the program, should make a report upon the 36 units
referred to the Director. A copy of the Stringham report is attached
hereto together with a copy of a report made by Director Hawkins, vnho
followed up the suggestions made in the Stringham report.
With the Stringham and Hawkins reports as a basis the Liquidating Committee held a meeting on March 1, 1941 and decided that the
following units should be cancelled, with the following notations relative to recovering certain equipment:
Accounts Cancelled:
Anderson Sewing Unit.
Castle Dale Sewing Co-op.
Consumers Coal Cooperative.
Consumers Coal Yard.
Consumers Fuel Cooperative.
Consumers Co-op Dairy.
Consumers Co-op Society (Note: The Director is to secure
a letter from Justin Stewart and Mr. Hutchinson, operator
of the store, confirming agreements with «he State Board
relative to cancellation of loan.)
