CACHE COUNTY SHIP?
FURE BRED STOCK.
One of the most important steps in
the history of Cache County, having
to do with the improvement of livestock of the dairy breed, was undertaken by a number of enterprizing
en and boys a few days ago when
Mr. Clarence Funk of Richmond, and
Professor George B. Caine, of the U.
A. C, were sent east to purchase 33
'ead of pure bred holstein calves and
bred heifers.
These men are well qualified to
select good animals. They left for
Minnesota May 28th and will be gone-
about three weeks. They will pay
about $250.00 per head for the stock
and wjll bring a very fine string of
animals to Cache County. Cache
county is now famous for her fine
dairy stock so the addition of this
shipment will help to extend her
fame. They will add a great deal to
OTr dairy possibilities.
The individuals who are sending
ror the stock are to be congratulated
for the broad vision they have of the
dairying possibilities of the valley.
They are among t'.ie pioneers in this
line of agricultural improvement and
ten years hence the benefits, which
will accrue from their efforts, will be
almost immeasurable.
Fifteen of the individuals who have
sent for stock are boys and members
of the calf club, the others are adult
farmers. The movement is in accordance with a major project for livestock improvement adopted by the
Cache County farm bureau. The
boys and men who have sent for

SUNNYMEAD FARM.
Cardon and Woodhouse, proprietors of Sunnymead Farm, have employed a herdsman to look after their
holsteins. Mr. Cardon feels well
satisfied with, their undertaking, because it is demonstrating that they
have some very well bred stock. One
cow is holding up to about sixty
pounds of milk per day and she has
been milking over fourteen weeks.
Other cows are making splendid records.

COAL FOR WINTER
Summer is the best time to fill your
coal bins. There are three reasons for
this : first, coal is cheaper now than
in the winter; second, you get better
coal now than any other time of the
year; third, you have your coal when
you want it than you don't need to
worry about warming your toes next
winter.
By clubbing together and buying
from your local dealer you can save
from fifty to seventy-five cents per
ton.
