PROGRAM AND MEMBERSHIP AFFILIATION BETWEEN
STATE FIRM BUREAU, COOPERATIVE MARKETING
ASSOCIATIONS, AND OTHER FARM ORGANIZATIONS
IN UTAH
I - Preliminary Procedure
At a meeting called by the Utah State Farm Bureau Federation
on March 19, 1932, the question of the affiliation of members in
the Farm Bureau, cooperative marketing associations, and other
farm organizations into one organization was discussed by representatives from the State Farm Bureau and cooperative marketing associations of the state. Two proposals were submitted to
constitute the state central organization:
1. That a state cooperative council be organized by the
affiliation of all cooperative marketing associations into
one state organization.
2. That the State Farm Bureau be considered the central
state organization and that through an affiliation of
memberships the members of the various cooperative associations and other farm organizations become members of the
State,'Farm/Bureau.
After some,discussion a motion wa&gpaesed authorizing the appointment
of a sub-committee to work out organization plans and submit a report
on findings at a later meeting. The sub-committee appointed on Program,
Organization, and Membership Affiliation Between the State Farm Bureau
d Other Farm Organizations was:
