MEMORANDUM FOR   OFFICER   IU  CHARGE  OF RSBERf PRICE  SALE
AREA,   MEADOW CREEK,   CACHE NATIOHAL FOREST:
During  the summer of  1921,   a series of
sample plots were  laid out oa the Brice Sale area
in Meadow Creek.     These plots  lie on the upper part
of  the hillside and considerably farther up  the canyon than where Price has started his cutting operations.     The  location  is  showa oa  the maps which are
attached.     They may be  easily found oa the grouad
\     by goiag up Meadow Creek to a pipefc coraer aloag a
pile of rooks at the lower  edge of  the road.     From
this poiat the  extreme aorthwest coraer of  the aor-
theramost plot bears due east about oae-half way up
the hillside.     Each one of  these plots io  6-J- chaias
wide aad 8 chaias loag,   the loag way running up and
■dowa hill.     They are aot spaced evealy,  hov/ever,  as
showa oa  the map.     Betweea  the first aad secoad is a
space  of  100 feet,   while between  the  second and  third
