TO FROM SUBJECT Regional Forester Forest Service Ogden, Utah 8*4+03 lUUO Instructors - Training in Inspection DATE: February 1, 1965 Floyd Iverson, Regional Forester, By Inspection (Training in Inspection) Papers for presentation at the forthcoming Training in Inspection meeting have been received from the following individuals: F. C. Curtiss J. A. Mattoon J. T. Mathews J. L. Frykman E. C. Crary J. C. Kern G. L. Watts J. M. Usher I have taken the opportunity to read all of them. They are excellent papers and fit well into the program design. They are being returned to each of the authors. I hope that each of you will rehearse your presentations several times prior to delivering them. Where visual aids are to be used, a rehearsal period is especially important. For those instructors who have not yet developed their presentations, I urge that they do so immediately. The training session is just two weeks away and time must be allowed for the development of visual aids and rehearsal. As stated in my memorandum of December 8, 1964, Mr. Kern will be responsible for the physical arrangements in the conference room, making sure that flannel boards, easel boards, opaque projectors, and other items are available. If special equipment is needed, please make your wants known to Mr. Kern as soon as possible. Mr. Van Meter will make arrangements to serve refreshments during the break periods of both sessions. He will assess the participants a sufficient amount to cover the cost of the refreshments. Each instructor should make a copy of his presentation available to Mr. Van Meter so that it can be bound and placed into a booklet summarizing the inspection training. The Division of Operation will be responsible for assembling and publishing the presentations
