Image presents children in Bethel, Alaska, celebrating the return of the masks by doing a Yup'ik dance. In the front row are five young boys sitting on their knees holding Yup'ik dance fans ( rings with feathers attached to them). Most of them are wearing blue jackets. Behind them are several young girls, all in blue dresses, wearing headdresses with fur around the top and feathers hanging downward over the ears. They are holding rings with feathers attached to them. Spectators can be seen sitting on folding chairs around the room. |
