This interview is included in the American Folklore Society Oral History Project held at the Archive of Folk Culture, American Folklife Center, Library of Congress, Washington, D.C. This oral history interview with folklorist Mody C. Boatright was conducted by Roger D. Abrahams for the American Folklore Society Oral History Project at the American Folklore Society annual meeting in Atlanta, Georgia, on November 5, 1969. Mody C. Boatright, folklorist and educator, was born in Mitchell County, Texas, on October 16, 1896 and died in Abilene, Texas, on August 20, 1970. He collected and published stories of cowboys and oil field workers, tall tales and oral histories. Original tape recorded at the American Folklore Society annual meeting in Atlanta, Georgia, on November 5, 1969; this is a first-generation copy. 1 sound tape reel : analog, 3 3/4 ips, full track, mono. ; 7 in. |
