Title	Map of Utah Territory Representing the Extent of the Irrigable, Timber, and Pasture Lands
Description	Map of Utah territory published in 1878 as part of the John W. Powell's U.S. Geographical and Geological Survey of the Rocky Mountain Region, compiled and drawn by Charles Mahon, J. H. Renshawe, W. H. Graves, and H. Lindenkohl for the Commissioner of Public Lands. Map extends north and south from Snowville to Cedar City and east to west from Bear Lake to Grouse Creek. Finely drawn details include Utah's many mountains, rivers, and lakes as well as towns such as Logan, Smithfield, Fillmore, Honeyville, Ogden, Salt Lake City, Toquerville, etc. Colored areas show irrigable lands (green), standing timber (blue), and areas of timber destroyed by fire (brown). Also indicated are railroad lines, wagon roads, trails, and telegraph lines. Scale is approximately 1:633,600. Relief is shown by hachures. Dimensions of original map are 30 x 38 inches. Map accompanied Powell's written report, Report on the Lands of the Arid Region of the United States.
