We have decided to prepare NEPA documents for issuing new grazing permits by areas with similar characteristics and livestock. By donig this we feel we can accomplish this project with 8 EA's. The 8 area will have the following allotments within their boundaries: 1. North Rich Cattle 2. Boulder Mountain Sheep Cowley Canyon Sheep Elk Hollow Sheep Ricks Steel Sheep South Cottonwood Sheep Elk Valley Sheep 3. Blind Hollow Sheep Cottonwood Sheep 4. Millville Cattle Providence Cattle White Rock Sheep 5. Beaver Mountain Sheep Swan Peak Sheep 6. South Cache Cattle 7. Maple Bench Cattle Three Mile Cattle 8. High Creek Cattle Smithfield Cattle These areas are listed by priority caonsidering the number of livestock which would be not grazed if were not reissued. We have already requested specialist assistance for preparation of BE's for the Three Mile and High Creek Allotments as they have permits which expired at the end of 1994. We also have requested the same for the Logan Canyon, Providence, South Cache, and North Rich allotments because we have waivers on those allotments. Those BE's need to be completed as soon as possible to allow grazing this year with one year permits. The Logan canyon allotment is NEPA sufficient but needs the BE. We will need BE's for plants and wildlife on all of the above areas for fisheries in areas 2, 4, 5, 6, 8, and possibly 3. We will fax maps with boundaries of thse areas to you. We have a preliminary timeline developed for completeion of these ea's. We will try to finalize it and send it to you by the end of the week.

KATHY: THIS IS OUR INTENT FOR REISSUANCE OF GRAZING PERMITS ON THE LOGAN DISTRICT. IN AN EARLIER DOCUMENT WE FIGURED A MINIMUM OF 2 DAYS/ALLOTMENT FOR EACH SPECIALISTS TIME. WE FIGURED ON MOST WE WOULD NEED AT LEAST 5 DAYS/ALLOTMENT FOR EACH SPECIALIST. THERE WERE A COUPLE OF ALLOTMENTS WITH POOR ACCESS ETC. WHICH WE FIGURED MORE TIME WOULD BE NEEDED. IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS GIVE ME A CALL. STAN
