The Souris River water is not suitable for city water use, therefore a dry dam was placed above the pumping plant and the stream diverted to a point below the plant, but it was found that it entered the river again above the city dam and therefore was mingled with the flow from Long Creek which produces a better quality of water. 35-84 Estevan, Sask., Canada.
