Upper view shows the structure at first crest level. It was raised in 1927 to a height of 55 feet above stream bed, and was raised in 1930 to 67 feet above stream bed. The upper view shows the work at the time the second raise was being made. The lower view shows the structure in 1938 following a terrific torrential flood which reached the volume of 15,000 second fleet. Above this structure there is now being a third crest, which will carry the total height of the spillway up to 100 feet above stream bed.
